sony could have probably been on top of the gaming world but they thought to inward on their early profits they forgot to give gamers superior graphics, memory, game play but they didn't so their not. microsoft saw this right away and came out with the most superior system ever. For the next gen consoles they stayed to the basics. Which in the end will make them the best again. Other's like sony change their perspective to much. Just like the wii controller. it's to different for most gamers. But low price helps plus i might even try a wii out myself just to see what it's like. thank you for your patronage.

I bought a Wii.
Pure awesomeness.
I've played both of the other systems.
Resistance: Fall of Man is pure masterpiece of a video game. Ps2 was a top console, if I recall, for quite some time. Then people became excieted about the Xbox360 and decided to wait out in Arizona for a week to get their hands on some.
I truly believe that the sales of a system for atleast the first two years of release is truly about hype and nothing more. If the system doesn't live up to the hype it created, too bad, so sad, it's still a top selling console.
Now, some of the early Xbox games did not live up to the Xbox's capabilities, but are still goddamn fun. Chronicles of Riddick, for example. But the Ps2 also had it's happenin's. The Final Fantasy games to appear on the Ps2 have graphic cababilities unseen on the Xbox. At all.
Lost Planet, I think, and Gear of War are the only games out there that truly show off the 360's awesome-tastic power.
Well, no, there's also Oblivion, the most graphically awesome game I've ever seen, mainly because it has the awesome graphics FOR EVAR. But, like much like Fable, the Xbox 360 did not completely live up to what it promised.
The Ps3 delivers alot of what it promised, but not all of it. the Wii's the only one that has yet to fall through on anything. True, it did not promise reality-altering awesome graphics. But it's Wii-mote gameplay is perfect. Completely perfect. It's that damn strap that breaks, though. And you can actually injure yourself while playing it.
If you're a 64 year old woman with mental disabilities, I think.
through this rant, I've completely lost my point. Whatever, Sony rock, Nintendo Rocks, Microsoft consoles rock [but not their OSs >.<].
